Craving a healthy snack that is both a little sweet and spicy? Try this delicious homemade fresh mango salsa!

If you love sweet and spicy salsa, look no further than this fresh mango salsa recipe. Summer is right around the corner and that has me craving all the fresh fruits and veggies! My husband and I eat salsa on a regular basis. We love to have it as a snack with some multi grain tortilla chips or use it as a topping on anything ranging from burgers, eggs, and tacos.
When it comes to salsa it is so easy to make at home and customize to you and your family’s preferences. Homemade salsa comes together super quickly and requires little prep and clean up. Do I even need to go on? It is the perfect healthy snack you need!
Fresh Mango Salsa Ingredients
For this specific recipe I used one mango, one jalapeno, about 6 mini bell peppers, half of a medium yellow onion, 1 lime juiced, one 12 ounce container of cherry tomatoes, dried cilantro, garlic salt, and chili powder. But feel free to add in your favorite ingredients as well, like corn or black beans!

Prepare
This takes very little work to prepare as you’ll add all of the ingredients to a food processor or blender to do all the work. A tip on how to prepare the mango is to feel for the “cheeks” or the fleshy parts of the mango and use a knife to cut those sides away from the seed in the middle. You will then score the fruit flesh and slice off the chunks into the food processor. Make sure to remove the seeds from the peppers if you like your salsa on the less spicy end of the scale.

Food Processor
Add all of the ingredients to the food processor and combine to your preference. We like our salsa more on the thinner side so I let the food processor chop the ingredients smaller. If you like your salsa chunkier I would suggest using the “pulse” button a couple times until desired consistency is achieved.

How to Store Fresh Mago Salsa
We poured ours into a 16 ounce mason jar to store in the fridge. I would suggest storing it in the fridge for only up to 10 days for optimal freshness. Ours usually doesn’t last the week!
